Today is our 32nd anniversay. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago. I still remember the day so well. But I look in the mirror and look at our children and grandchildren, I know it has been that long. We have been very blessed in our lives. So glad we have each other.

Another delayed blog

Here we are, four months later and no blog. Not a lot has been happening. Mark and I left the 11th of Jan., in the truck. Mark has been on the road most of time since then. I came home the end of March.
I was able to go help Wade and Lauren move into their new house. It was an interesting couple of days, waiting for the approval to move in and then getting everything in.
Coltin turned one on April 1st. I was able to celebrate it with him. I can't believe how big he is getting. He's walking all over the place.
All of the other grandkids are growing and getting so old. I enjoy my Sundays with them.
How blessed we are to have such a good family.

A New Year.

I have been very bad at updating my blog. It's not that nothing happened, a lot has happened. We have been so very blessed to have a wonderful family. Six wonderful sons, five beautiful daughters-in-law, and the best eight grandchildren. How we love each of them.
Mark continues to drive truck and enjoys it. He really appreciates the chance to do it and especially after this week. Kelly, Mindy and family went to CA so Mark has to be milkman. He said it was so hard standing on the cement floors again. The truck looks really good right now.
A few things that happened since my last blog. Owen was blessed on Sept.4. Our family picture was taken that day. We had everyone there.
On Oct. 10, Brian and Sierra were sealed in the Logan Temple. What a special day.
We had Thanksgiving dinner here at our house. We had Jeff's family, Brian and Sierra, and Brad and his girlfriend, Cassey here. It was a good weekend.
Christmas Eve was spent at Dad and Mom Hurst house. Christmas morning, we went to Kelly's, then Tyler's houses for the opening of the gifts. We also went to see Dad and Mom Stoker. They were at Curtis' house so enjoyed visiting with them. Then on to our house to open our gifts with Brian and Sierra and Brad and Cassey. Then we went back down to the Hurst's home to visit with them and Darla and Glen.
The next day, we drove to Emmett to deliver Christmas to Jeff's family. We also got to celebrate Ethan's 5th birthday. We stayed till Monday morning.
New Year Eve, Wade and Lauren came to spend the weekend. Braxton and Addison also got to spend it with us. The next night, Tyler and Jolynne and Brad and Cassey came over and we ate pizza and played games.
It was a busy but wonderful holiday season. We were so happy to be able to spend time with each family member. We love each of them so much.

We had a two great weekends going to Boise for Lauren's endownment and then to Manti to witness the sealing of Wade and Lauren. It was a wonderful two days.

Coltin's & Braxton's Day

On June 7, Tyler blessed Coltin at the Fast & Testimony meeting. What a wonderful day. We had all the family at church plus a lot of the exteneded family. Since Braxton's birthday was the next day, we also celebrated it too. Here are some pictures from the day.

I love traveling through Washington because it brings back memories of Meme and Grandpa and the time we spent with them. This is one of those. This is the Coulee Dam. We went there and had a picnic. I remember rushing to the elevator and some of kids getting on it without the adults. We went down into the area where the turbins were. They were so loud and it scared us. The elevator doors closed and we went back up to where the adults were. Mom said our eyes were so big when the elevator doors opened up.
Just a little something I remember.

Dad came and picked me up on May 6. He just got back from the Toronto area with a load going to CA. We went and unloaded then we picked up and then back to Canada. We unloaded and then drove back into Michigan. We set there for a day and half. We wanted to go to Nigara Falls, which we weren't very far from but we were told to leave. After the sitting time, we picked up a load there in Michigan to take to WI. After unloading there early Sunday morning, we were able to attend church in Marshfield, WI. We then drove to Mattoon, IL, which is one of the areas Wade served on his mission. That load went to Armstrong, British Columbia. We then went to Seattle to pick up a load for Kimberly, ID.

The weekend before we got to Illinois, they had an extra lot of rain. Most of the fields looked like this, it's not a lake.

This is in British Columbia, Canada. There are vineyards and orchards all over that area we travel. The hills on one side and lakes on the other side. It's really pretty.

This tunnel going into Seattle, goes under those houses you see above. It's a weird feeling knowing houses are on top of you.

Dad has to wear a hard hat when he loads at the Seattle port.

Brad and Brian turned 22 on May 5. It is so hard to believe they are that old. It took the last two months of their pregancy to go by than the last 22 years. How grateful we are to have them part of our family.

How grateful I am to have a wonderful mother and mother-in-law. They are such great examples. I have been blessed with six wonderful sons that call me Mom. I am proud to be their Mom. I am grateful to each of the mothers of our wonderful grandchildren. Thank you for doing such a good job. We love all of you.

After sitting in NC for 3 days, we left there to go to Laurel MD to pick up milk to take to Springfield MO. We drove empty, across KS, to Lamar CO and picked up sunflower oil. We took it to Santa Fe Springs CA. We then picked up milk to take to Lake Norden SD. Mark dropped me off in UT so I could come home. After delivering there, he came home empty.

We are on the road again. We left home with just the truck, no trailer. One of the drivers took the load to Boise that Dad was suppose to take. We went to Yakima and picked up a trailer and got it loaded with apple juice. We took it to Dunnigan, CA where we met another driver. We traded trailers and we got the load of canola oil. We went down to Bakersfield and then over to Barstow. We got on I40 which went through AZ, NM, TX, OK, AR, TN and then into NC. We are there now. We unloaded early this morning at Frito-Lay and will wash the trailer in the morning. Then we will drive to Atlanta, GA (going through SC) and pick up defoamer for Simplots in Nampa and Caldwell. This is a quick post so I will post more later.

We are sitting in the Toronto area. We got here last night, thought we would unload today but things have changed. Apparently the place we delivered to is not equipped with tanks so they are unloading as needed. They hope to have it unloaded sometime tomorrow but not sure. They were thinking, we would just drop the trailer and then when the next load came, they would leave the full trailer and take the empty one. The next one is not suppose to get here till sometime next week. They also didn't know it would cost so much to do that. We are getting paid for sitting here but not sure how much. They can't plan what to do with us since we are not sure when we will be done. The interesting life of truckers.

More trucking news. I hit the wrong button and it posted when I wasn't ready to.
We got to MN by going through NV, UT, WY, SD, then MN. Then we headed towards CO, empty. Dad doesn't like to have to drive that far empty, it doesn't pay. We stopped in Lincoln, NE to wash. That was Valentine's Day. We stayed the night there at the truck washing place. We were able to unhook the trailer, leave it there and drove to Red Lobster and Wal-Mart.
After getting washed, we drove to Auora, NE. We attended church there. This is where the Clayson family goes to church. He was the Ag shop teacher at Declo for several years and they lived in our ward for a while. Shane is now in the Branch Presidency. There was about 70 people there. Dad attended this ward last May. He didn't know the Claysons lived there.
We then drove to Lamar, CO. There we loaded sunflower oil on to take to Arbuckle, CA. We took the southern route so we wouldn't have to put chains on the truck. This took us through NM, AZ, and into CA. Arbuckle is up north of Sacramento.
After unloading, we got washed at the same place and then loaded with canola oil. We took it to Yakima, WA. We got a motel room and it had a laundry room. I washed clothes since we were running low and clean ones. Dad went and unloaded and dropped his trailer at the Yard that Idaho Milk has there. The next day, we got another trailer that was loaded with apple juice that we are taking to Etibocoke, Ontario, Canda. This trip has taken us through ID, MT, WY, SD. That is where we are right now. Sioux Falls, SD. We will continue on in the morning. We don't know where we will be going but hopefully towards home.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN!!!

Don't be shocked but I'm finally adding to my blog. We are on the road and have been for 16 days. We got the phone call about 3:30 on Friday, Feb. 6, and left Burley about 5:00. Didn't have much time to prepare to leave.
We had a load of milk to take to Fullerton, CA. We stayed in Beaver, UT that night and then drove to St. George. We visited Grandpa and Grandma Hurst. After lunch with them, back in the truck. We got to our destination that night. It unloaded early Sunday morning. We then drove over to Tustin and was able to attend Stake Conference with Kevin. We spent the day with their family. It was so good to see them. Caden loves Uncle Mark and keeps him busy the whole time we were there. It's hard to believe how old their kids are.
We drove to our wash place that night, washed first thing the next morning then went and loaded apple juice concentrate to take to Henderson, NV. After unloading we had to wait for the other driver to unload cause we had to trade trailers with him. We then drove back into CA to wash and then drove to Modesto, CA to load milk to take to MN. Going over Donner Pass, we had to put chains on the truck. It wasn't that bad but you couldn't go on till you had them on. They had check stations to make sure you had them on. That was the first time Dad has had to do it since he started driving.
